About Barrio Burrito Bar
- Rare Master Franchise opportunity. - Dynamic Mexican food category. - Ground floor opportunity with a highly successful franchise concept and a sophisticated franchisor.
In 2005, Alex Shtein opened the first barBURRITO Fresh Mexican Grill in Toronto, Canada featuring delicious, healthy, fresh, made-to-order Mexican food in a fast casual restaurant format. Since its inception, the brand has grown to over 340 locations in Canada from coast to coast and is the category leader and Canada’s largest and fastest growing burrito brand! Based on our overwhelming success in Canada, in 2020, we expanded into the USA and opened our first unit in Michigan under the name BURRITOBAR. In 2024, we rebranded BURRITOBAR to Barrio Burrito Bar to create a new brand name that is easy to remember and pronounce, helping customers recall and recognize the brand effortlessly. As part of this exercise, we elevated and redefined the brand's personality and tone to better resonate with our target audience, ensuring a fresh, engaging, and relatable presence. We also developed distinctive brand attributes to stand out from competitors, making our brand the preferred choice within the category. We are currently seeking high caliber franchise candidates who are like minded and aligned with our core values to become franchise partners and grow with us. Our development strategy in the United States is to award Master Franchises and Multi-Unit Franchises. Our expansion in the US market has been explosive and we now have almost 1,000 contractually committed units throughout the Nation. With our Master Franchise Program, a Master Franchisee secures exclusive rights to develop and oversee a specific territory, with the number of stores to be established contingent upon market size and population. The initial Development Fee for the territory is determined by the planned number of stores to be opened within the first decade of the agreement. The Master Franchisee is tasked with inaugurating the first location as a brand showcase and training center, subsequently expanding the territory by recruiting, training, and supporting franchisees. All franchise fees and royalties collected by the Master Franchisee are evenly split with the Franchisor, offering an exceptional opportunity for territory development and a steady revenue stream. With our Multi-Unit Franchise initiative, franchisees have the opportunity to establish a minimum of three units over a specified timeframe. The Franchise Fee for the initial location amounts to $25,000, and is reduced to $12,500 for each subsequent location, payable upon signing the Franchise Agreement. This program presents an excellent chance to develop multiple stores in your preferred market. Barrio Burrito Bar and barBURRITO together form some of North America’s biggest and rapidly expanding Mexican food franchises. Barrio Burrito Bar is strategically positioned for significant growth in the fast-casual Mexican food sector in the United States!
